I approach weddings with a very romantic, editorial photography style, blending aspects of storytelling and filmmaking to create an immersive and nostalgic documentation of your love story.

During the planning stage, I'll spend time learning about all the details you adore and understanding your vision for the day so I can capture your wedding through your eyes. On the day, trust me to document the details, the setting, your loves ones, and all the little touches and looks that pass between you. I want you to love every moment with your partner, your family and your friends, and

forget about anything else. I work with a very limited number of couples each year, allowing me to create a bespoke experience and give you and your day every bit of attention you need.

Be assured that, as your wedding photographer, I understand your hopes and your vision so you can stay present while I document every  moment that makes your wedding day yours.

We couldn't recommend Heather enough as a wedding photographer. She was such a lovely, positive presence on our day, and the photos were more amazing than we could ever have hoped for. Heather was recommended to us by another photographer, and from the beginning she was approachable, friendly, and made the whole process really easy. We loved her photography style, and she had the ideal balance of bringing her own ideas as some of our own. Our friends and family were continually telling us how lovely Heather was on the day, and we couldn't be happier with our photos!

THE PROCESS

I want to know everything! When we chat about your wedding day, I want to hear about your life, your values, what you love and whats important to you, so that I can tell the story of your day through your eyes. I'll create a bespoke mood-board for your wedding photography, and we'll collaborate to perfect it. I want to know all of your favourite details, so I can turn your vision and your story into art.

I'll be as subtle as I possibly can be during your ceremony, so I can capture all of those precious moments without distracting. And during your reception, I'll  mingle with everyone to capture the happy tears, the hugs and the laughter!  I want to tell your story the right way, so that when you look back at your photos you're taken right back to the moment.

During your couples photos, it's all about you! I'll gently prompt you to take in the moment, be close to each other, and explore your surroundings. Feel present and safe in one another's company and I'll be there to document the first sweet moments of your new chapter together  though my documentary and editorial style. Within 48 hours of your wedding day, you'll receive a bespoke preview gallery of all the highlights and best parts of your day. Then, 6-8 weeks later, you'll receive your full wedding gallery, allowing you to re-live the magic all over again.

FAQs

Where are you based?

I am based in Glasgow, Scotland, however I love a road trip! No locations are off limits for weddings and elopements.

Do you photograph internationally?

You bet I do! Nothing would excite me more than the opportunity to shoot a destination wedding or elopement. If you're thinking of taking your celebrations overseas, please get in touch so we can chat about the finer details.

Do I pay a retainer?

Yes for weddings, a 25% non-refundable retainer is needed to secure your booking, and the remaining balance can be paid six weeks before your date. For elopements and vow renewals, a 50% non-refundable retainer is needed to secure your booking, and the remaining balance can be paid six weeks before your date. This is used to reserve your date, book accommodation if required, obtain equipment and scout locations.

Please note, your booking is not secured until your contract and retainer have been received.

How do I book?

Pop over an enquiry and I'll send you my brochure. Once we've had some chats about your booking, I'll send over the booking link containing your contract, questionnaire and invoice. Then simply complete your questionnaire, sign the contract on your phone and complete payment of your retainer  - you are now officially in the diary!

Will the photos be published on social media?

I  completely understand not everybody is comfortable with their images being public. If you do not wish your photos to be published publicly, please let me know and I will make sure to keep them private.

Do you do same-sex weddings?

Yes - LGBTQIA+, no matter how you identify and regardless of how you define your relationship, I'd love to be a part of your wedding day. Love is love and I'm 100% here for it!

What should I wear for my engagement session?

You should wear whatever you feel comfortable in! I do recommend light, neutral tones such as white, cream and brown as these are cohesive and allow the focus to remain on you and your love.

What happens if it rains?

It's Scotland! I can almost guarantee it will rain but I wholeheartedly believe the wind and rain add the most incredible magic to your images. The weather creates movement and helps to tell the story in an authentic Scottish scene. We will go ahead as planned unless weather conditions are adverse.

Where do engagement sessions take place?

Sessions should take place somewhere that means something to you, or somewhere that speaks to you, which is why I don't offer studio sessions. I want to document your story as authentically as possible, so let me know any ideas you have or I can always give some suggestions of my favourite settings.

What happens after my wedding?

After your wedding, I'll always send a sneak peak within 48 hours! Then your gallery of fully edited, high resolution images will be available for download within 6-8 weeks of your special day, so you can re-live the magic.

Can I have all of the unedited photographs?

I love that you're keen to see all of your images but I go through them with a keen eye and a fine-toothed comb to remove any images with closed eyes, missed focus or duplicates, before editing them with my signature style. Unedited files are an unfinished product, just like the raw ingredients of a cake! Your gallery will only include the best, edited photographs from your session.
